The Program for Community Development in Ensenada developed a collaborative partnership among UABC-Ensenada, Arizona State University and the community of Infonavit Punta Banda, located in Ensenada, B.C. UABC and ASU faculty worked together with local community members to identify principal challenges, and to propose projects to address selected issues, and developed a collaborative network to address the problems. Students contributed by performing social service and professional practitioners, familiar with the community, cooperated in developing solutions for the problems. This project determined the principal social problems in Punta Banda, Ensenada and ranked them based on priority. It then designed an initial project to contribute to the resolution of the identified problem, to implement intervention with the community and to organize and collect information about the project.
