Development of a Drug Information Center in Tijuana

The project developed a drug information center in Tijuana to help promote safe use of medications obtained in Mexico by both U.S. and Mexican citizens. This Drug Information Center located in the General Hospital of Tijuana was dedicated to provide objective and valuable information on medicines and their rational use to the healthcare system and the general public. This Center provided a training site for pharmacy students from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Campus Tijuana, University of California - San Diego, University of California – San Francisco, and the new University of California San Diego School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to further continue and enhance their binational collaborative efforts in order to share valuable information, resources, knowledge and expertise.
