The Health Careers Border Education Project promotes
the education of a cadre of U.S.-Mexico border area
healthcare students and practitioners with an international
perspective. Participants include medical and nursing
students, faculty, and practicing healthcare professionals
in the busy U.S.-Mexico border regions of California/Baja
California and El Paso/Ciudad Juárez. The project
focused on creating accessible, flexible approaches
to student, faculty, and professional educational exchange
experiences. The project also facilitated dialogue regarding
professional mobility, accreditation and licensing policies
in the two countries.
