Project partners examined the economic impact of the maquiladora industry through the development of an industrial, economic, and public service time series of data banks. Further information was collected and analyzed by engaging in econometric analysis of the various components. This project was designed to help border decision makers and policy analysts and has resulted in gaining valuable information regarding growth and development issues at play in this region.
