This medical project constructed a satellite building
onto the existing UABC dental clinic "El Florido"
in order to increase medical/health services with binational
collaboration in the Tijuana colonia of Mariposa. In
addition to dental services, they offer health services,
maternal and child health services, outreach, health
education, with a special emphasis for teens. It is
also used as a teaching and training site for teachers,
medical and psychology students from the Universidad
Autónoma de Baja California, Campus Tijuana as
well as for nursing students from University of California,
San Diego, and other students studying health education,
promotion and disease prevention.
