The Local Chapters are working groups composed by SONA students in their area. The formation of such chapters allows all SONA students to be more involved with the organization in their community. The intention is to actively seek and welcome participation by all post-secondary students and young professionals, so they become more knowledgeable of the organization and become part of it.
There are several Local Chapters already established throughout North America, and some other are in the process of formation.
If you wish to create a SONA Local Chapter in your location, please refer to the Organizational Handbook for information regarding the regulations and requirements. Then contact Marianna Velazquez for further information on how to develop and inaugurate a Local Chapter.
