Since 2009 a group of universities, research centers, and governmental organizations made it a priority to organize a series of events to analyze.J!!e question of human development in the US-Mexico border region from a transboundary perspective. Since then important academic goals have been met by a diverse group of actors from the Sonora -Arizona bonier region. In 2016, the Human Development Network expanded its scope to all North America in the context of the complex and changing social structures of the region.
