The Universidad Autónoma Chapingo boasts the largest number and most diverse offering in Mexico of programs in agriculture, forestry, and the environment. This presentation will discuss how academic cooperation and Chapingo's vision to become a leading institution in this area have allowed it to train professionals, researchers, and high tech experts who are working to meet Mexico's needs and are increasing the country's economic and cultural well-being, especially in the rural areas.

Join leaders and practitioners of higher education, business, government and students in Calgary, Canada for the VIII North American Higher Education Conference. Conference participants will work together to shape the collaborative agenda in North American higher education. We will review the outcomes of past efforts since "Wingspread", the first trinational education gathering in 1992. We will then develop strategies to meet the challenges we must overcome in the next decade.
