Transborder Integration of Higher Education Institutions in the U.S.-Mexico Border Region: The Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez and New Mexico State University

This presentation addresses an effort by the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and New México State University (NMSU) to integrate both university systems at the regional level toward the creation of the UACJ-NMSU Inter-University Working Group (IUWG). The presenter will discuss background information on the institutional relationship among Mexican and U.S. higher education institutions in the El Paso del Norte border region, the rationale behind the founding of the IUWG, its structure, results achieved during the first two years, and future goals.
