Founded in 1890, Dominican University of California is an independent institution offering more than 60 academic programs. Over our 130 years of preparing students for fulfilling professional and personal lives, we’ve earned a reputation for excellence in academics, research, and outreach. Dominican offers more than 60 programs of study, reflecting the diversity and creativity of our faculty, students and location. With our 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio, average class size of 16, and proximity to San Francisco, we provide both the personal attention associated with smaller schools and the academic resources and global opportunities associated with larger universities. Dominican University of California also counts with a diverse campus that includes: students from across the country and several dozen countries, 70% of the student body is from an ethnicially diverse background and 24% of students are first-generation students.
