Jaime Valls Esponda, new executive secretary of Anuies (Jaime Valls Esponda, nuevo secretario ejecutivo de la Anuies)

Mexico DF. Jaime Valls Esposito, former rector of the Autonomous University of Chiapas , is the new executive secretary of the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education (ANUIES).
During the 23rd Special Session of the General Assembly Anuies, held this morning at the Palace School of Medicine, UNAM , Valls was elected to the position replacing Jose Aguirre Vazquez, former rector of the Autonomous University of Baja California. The latter held the position on an interim basis since November, when Enrique Fernandez Fassnacht left the Executive Secretariat of the Anuies because he was appointed to head the National Polytechnic Institute.
