El proyecto Online Multicultural and International Xperience (OMIX), un programa gratuito en línea con duración de dos semanas del Tecnológico de Monterrey, busca reunir a estudiantes de diversas nacionalidades para que colaboren en la discusión de un dilema ético.

Los participantes tomarán un taller virtual del 18 al 29 de septiembre de 2017 en el que debatirán un dilema ético de interés general, con una visión multicultural y multidisciplinaria. Los estudiantes podrán:

When there are debates about the world's top performing education systems, the names that usually get mentioned are the Asian powerhouses such as Singapore and South Korea or the Nordic know-alls, such as Finland or Norway.

But with much less recognition, Canada has climbed into the top tier of international rankings.

In the most recent round of international Pisa tests, Canada was one of a handful of countries to appear in the top 10 for maths, science and reading.

A dozen higher education organizations expressed serious concerns over a possible change in the student visa program, saying it could deter the most talented international students from applying to schools in the United States. This month, The Washington Post reported that senior officials at the Department of Homeland Security were discussing a proposal to require foreign students to reapply for permission to stay in the United States every year.

About 75,000 people who applied for New York's first-in-the-nation tuition-free college program are finding out whether they will start the fall semester without a tuition bill to pay. "It feels absolutely terrific," Binghamton University student Natan Nassir, of Great Neck, said after learning Thursday that the state will pick up his tab for any tuition not covered by other financial aid. New York set aside $87 million for the Excelsior Scholarship program for the first year after projecting about 23,000 people would qualify.
