As host of this conference, MacEwan University does have residence suites available to participants. MacEwan Residence has enough accommodations for 200 guests, so book early. The suites consist of a private bathroom, kitchen area with fridge, stove top and microwave. (there are no dishes or cooking utensils provided in the suite). Each bedroom has one double bed with linen and towel service every three days. The bedrooms are private and lockable within the suite.

The convenient downtown location is right on campus (minutes walk from the conference meeting spaces) as well as close to restaurants, shopping centres, major bus routes, and many local attractions.  The buildings are secure and have comfortably furnished rooms, all utilities included, and plenty of fantastic amenities:

• two lounges on each floor, one with complimentary satellite TV and DVD players
• laundry facilities with a cash card system
• parking passes available for purchase
• complimentary bus parking
• access to fitness facilities and swimming pool
• convenience store, vending machines and ATM
• 24-hour staffed front desk

Free high speed Internet is available to all conference participants. Please note that wireless connectivity is only available on the main floor of the building - ethernet cables and compatible devices are required in order to connect on other floors. Please note that the rooms do not contain televisions, but shared televisions are available in public areas.

The Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel is located a stone's throw away from shopping, dining and is a short distance from the MacEwan University campus where most conference related events will take place. The hotel boasts a full service Ahava Day Spa, a health club with an indoor heated pool, whirlpool and steam room and a lobby fireplace. It offers a complimentary downtown shuttle during regular business hours Monday - Friday, and free high-speed wireless internet access in all guest rooms.

Check-In/Out:

Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am, although the hotel will attempt to accommodate guests arriving earlier and leaving later based on room availability.

Cancellation:

Individual guest rooms may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival without penalty.
Cancellations after this point and no-show reservations will be charged one night's room rental fee.

Please note that once the room block has been filled, the hotel is no longer obligated to offer the group rate so please make your reservations as early as possible. Reservations must be made before March 30, 2013. After that date, the hotel will continue to accept reservations on a space and rate availability basis but is under no obligation to offer the rates below.
